The preparation of the speech...

I did not really prepare for the speech that MC ask us to prepare.I think and think, but just no inspiration. Well, what can I say about myself? The next day, four speakers went to the front to talk about themselves.

Even though everyone of them have different style of speaking, but they have something in common, it is their confidence.They were not afraid of losing their faces.There was a quote said by Ya Rui, that says 'I may not be the best, but I must be in my best.' That really impacted me. You may not be the best, but you have know that you have tried and done your best.

The next day, MC brought us to the AVA again. We were suppose to present our speeches again.Some boys went out to the front and talked about themselves.They have the confidence and the structure of their speech.(even though some parts were a bit 'haywire') MC asked for a girl to present, but none did. MC was sort of disappointed, and said,"If Judy can come to the front and speak, the girls will kiss the floor."

At first, I thought it was ridiculous.But to think again, it isn't. After doing so much to get rid of the shyness in us, we still can't present a simple speech. Are we failures?

I went home that day and tried to structure my speech, at the same time, trying to think of ways to improve on it. I am confident that by the time school reopen, I can go and talk to the class about me and nothing but just me. I will not be afraid of losing face.
